When I first fell in love with perfumery, I wasn't searching for the loudest fragrance or the longest-lasting perfume.
I was searching for something that felt alive.
Something that carried the story of where it came from.
The petals gathered at sunrise.
The resin slowly forming on an ancient tree.
The warm heartwood of Australian sandalwood, patiently growing for decades before it would ever become perfume.
Those stories captivated me.
Long before I learnt how to blend fragrance, I fell in love with the remarkable beauty of botanical ingredients.
That love became the foundation of FRANK AND LAZULI.

The world of fragrance offers countless creative possibilities.
Many perfumes are created using synthetic aroma molecules, while others combine natural and synthetic ingredients to achieve a particular scent profile.
These approaches have shaped modern perfumery in many different ways.
Our philosophy is simply different.
At FRANK AND LAZULI, we choose to build our fragrances around botanical aromatic ingredients, including essential oils, absolutes, natural resins and botanical extracts.

One of the things I find most fascinating about botanical ingredients is their complexity.

Many of the ingredients we work with are among the most valuable in perfumery.
Australian sandalwood. Rose absolute. Jasmine absolute. Blue Lotus. Frankincense.
These botanicals aren't chosen because they're economical.
They're chosen because they create fragrances with remarkable depth, beauty and authenticity.
